We call a record verified when it is independently proofed (kept by a third party such as the Racing Post Press Challenge or naps table, Tipstrr or betHQ) or recomputed by us from the tipster's own bet-by-bet data. That is close to what UK advertising rules expect before a tipster claims past profits: every tip lodged with an independent party before the event, the period and total stakes stated, and odds that were really available (ASA guidance on betting tipsters). Records published only by the tipster are labelled self-reported and kept out of the ranking.
